Parliament on Wednesday accepted the Rs 1.42-lakh-crore funds for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for 2022-23, with Rajya Sabha returning the related payments to the Lok Sabha.
The Lok Sabha had handed the payments on March 14.
The higher Home returned the payments — The Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation Invoice, 2022, and The Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation (No.2) Invoice, 2022.
There was a short alternate of phrases between Congress occasion members and treasury benches on terror-related actions in Jammu and Kashmir earlier than the removing of Article 370 in 2019.
Replying to the practically four-hour-long dialogue on the funds, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman stated after the abrogation of the Article 370, ”you see justice reaching, democracy reaching, financial improvement reaching” to the residents of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
