 Chinese language firms working in India have to observe the regulation of the land, the Ministry of Exterior Affairs stated on Thursday, a day after China reacted to the continuing probe into alleged irregularities by Chinese language smartphone maker Vivo.

Exterior Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi stated Indian authorities are taking steps within the case in accordance with the regulation of the land.

“Chinese language firms which function right here have to observe the regulation of the land and I feel our authorized authorities are taking steps as per the regulation of the land,” he stated at a media briefing.

Bagchi was requested to touch upon remarks on the probe by a spokesman of the Chinese language embassy.

“I don’t see the necessity to make such feedback,” Bagchi stated.

The Enforcement Directorate is finishing up the investigation in opposition to Vivo underneath the provisions of Prevention of Cash Laundering Act.
